USAID HEARD Project

USAID HEARD Project

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Health Evaluation and Applied Research Development (HEARD) Project operates a network of implementation science-oriented partners to scope, award, and provide technical support to research studies aiming to develop, test, and compare approaches to more effectively deliver, increase, and scale-up evidence-based interventions that address priority public health challenges. Through implementation research, HEARD addresses “know-do” gaps, or delays, in the discovery of effective interventions and their wide-scale application. HEARD emphasizes local ownership and partnerships in order to scale up equitable and sustainable efforts.
