Improving Diabetes through Targeted Learning in Mexico

Researchers at the UC Berkeley Center for Targeted Learning are using machine-learning methods (Targeted Learning) to assess the performance of an integrated diabetic care program called DIABETIMSS in the primary health care clinics in Mexico City, in terms of quality of care and health outcomes for type 2 diabetic patients. Specifically, this project evaluates the performance of the program in Mexico City using Electronic Health Records.
