UC Berkeley Center for Global Public Health
The Center for Global Public Health (CGPH) provides transdisciplinary, experiential research, training, and learning opportunities for students and faculty to improve human health worldwide. We focus on the most vulnerable populations and communities with the greatest health inequities. Our goal is to be a platform to translate global health research into solutions for public health action at Berkeley and beyond.
At UC Berkeley, Hildy Fong Baker is responsible for leading global health education and research initiatives, including the SPH Global Health Specialty, fellowship programs such as the Gilead Fellowship for the Advancement of Global Health, and the UCB-UCSF Global Health Joint Online Initiative (GHJOI) project. She participates in strategic planning and development for campus and Bay Area global health initiatives including the Bay Area Global Health Innovation Challenge and the Bay Area Global Health Alliance.
